Stockholm, Sweden – October 16, 2025 - TERASi today announced the successful validation of its AirCore™ D-band antenna, achieving wireless data rates of up to 44 Gbps over the air. Developed in collaboration with Institute of Science Tokyo (erstwhile Tokyo Institute of Technology), the demonstration confirms the antenna’s potential to deliver the high-capacity connections required for future 6G networks and beyond.
The 4096 element array antenna, fabricated using TERASi’s wafer-scale AirCore™ silicon platform, represents a major departure from traditional approaches that rely on bulky lenses or reflectors. The compact design, 70 times smaller and over 100 times lighter than conventional products, delivers unprecedented efficiency despite reduced size and weight..
“This achievement paves the way for the next generation of 6G applications and validates our technological prowess”, said James Campion, CEO of TERASi. “Together with Institute of Science Tokyo, we have shown that AirCore™ technology can deliver practical, disruptive performance that will define the future of 6G.”
The validation strengthens TERASi’s position as a frontrunner in sub-terahertz wireless technologies and demonstrates the practical impact of AirCore™ silicon micromachining. Applications for the new antenna include 6G Xhaul links, ultra-high-definition 4K/8K broadcasting, and ultra-fast indoor wireless access.
